Privacy Policy

Zen & Chef is a public YouTube Shorts comedy channel and website operated by the channel owner. The website also includes a private, single-owner admin and publishing tool. Contact us at zenandchef.channel@gmail.com.

Public visitors can browse the channel website, Privacy Policy, and Terms without an account. Hosting systems receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic information. The site loads fonts from Google, so a visitor’s browser also makes requests to Google.

Hosting providers may supply operational or usage diagnostics. We use this information to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the website.

The private admin panel uses email authentication for the owner and checks authorized access through an admin permission. Authentication persists a session in browser local storage; inside the Lovable editor preview, that storage may be brokered by the preview environment. Public registration is not offered.

After authorization, the admin panel asks the owner to acknowledge the current Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and YouTube Terms before using publishing features. It stores only an acknowledgment marker keyed to the authenticated user and policy version in browser local storage. If storage is unavailable, the acknowledgment lasts only for the current page session.

The owner’s workflow can store source material, reference media, scripts, ideas, titles, descriptions, tags, captions, narration settings, rendered media references, video and publication identifiers, statuses, errors, and operational events. Telegram may carry owner instructions and previews.

A Cloudflare Worker coordinates the workflow. Cloudflare R2 holds source inputs and renders. Lovable Cloud, using Supabase for authentication and database services, holds authentication and workflow records. RunPod performs rendering. Anthropic and Gemini may process supplied material for scripts or reference analysis, and ElevenLabs may provide optional narration. These providers process data as needed to operate the owner’s production workflow.

The Zen & Chef publishing tool is an internal, single-user application operated by the channel owner. Uploading requires the YouTube Data API v3 scope youtube.upload and uses YouTube’s video-upload operation for the owner’s own channel.

Optional upload-status checks use the youtube.readonly scope only after the owner authorizes and enables that feature. Those checks are limited to processing, privacy, and publication status for known uploaded video IDs.

Google authorization data and known video identifiers are used only to operate these owner-directed upload and optional status-check features. Tokens are handled by the server publishing backend, not exposed in the public website interface.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Use of YouTube API Services is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Workflow records and media are retained as needed for the owner’s production and publishing process. Reference media is not necessarily deleted automatically after rendering. Retention for Cloudflare R2 objects, request logs, and provider diagnostics depends on the configured service and operational process. Data remains stored until it is removed through those configured service lifecycles or the owner’s manual process.

To request deletion of data stored by the publishing tool, email zenandchef.channel@gmail.com. The owner will verify the requester’s identity and handle applicable deletion manually. Videos hosted by YouTube must be managed or deleted through YouTube Studio.

The owner can revoke Google access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revocation stops future authorized API access, but does not by itself delete stored workflow data or videos already uploaded to YouTube.

This website and the Zen & Chef channel are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. The private admin may require acknowledgment of a new version before its features become available.
